What do I need to give you before you start a project?

 We'll need to obtain all the background information about your product/service and/or company/client. Also, since it's very important that we understand the purpose of your project before we begin, we'll need to conduct a brief interview to make sure we're on the same page. That, coupled with the available background material, will ensure your satisfaction with the end result.

 What if I'm not happy with the final project?

 We include two rewrites with the total project fee. After all, our aim is: Assembling messages that work for you. Please note, however, that the rewrites are for writing projects only. See: "What else should I know?" for questions about proofreading and editing projects.   

 What are your rates?

 It's been our experience that not all writing projects are the same. As a result, we price on a per-consultation basis. That way our clients know what they're getting and there aren't any surprises. However, we do use the following as a guide:

Copywriting: $60/hour

Editing: $50/hour

Proofreading: $40/hour

By having this type of policy in place, you can be sure you're getting your money's worth. And the consultations are free, so you have nothing to lose.

 I noticed some of your portfolio pieces include layout and design. Can you do that for my business?

 Yes we can; although, it depends on the complexity of the layout and design. We're not professional graphic designers, yet simple graphic arrangements, such as brochures, newsletters and flyers, are something we're very comfortable doing. We suggest you contact us with the details of your project. If we can't help you, one of our designers can.

 Do you specialize in a certain field?

 We've chosen not to specialize in any particular industry for the simple fact that we love variety. We also enjoy the challenge that comes with learning about new fields of business. As a result, we're able to write with a style that is both new and refreshing to your audience. 

What else should I know?

We quote on a per-project basis, since each project is different. All quotes are made following the free consultation. Prior to assembling your order, you'll receive an agreement outlining the details of the project, including work to be done, cost and time frame. We'll ask you to return it, along with one-third of the project fee. We need this before we begin each project. Another one-third of the project fee is due once we turn in the first draft. The remaining one-third is due once the project is complete.

All writing projects include two rewrites. If additional rewrites are needed, an hourly rate will apply.

Exceptions: Proofreading and editing jobs are treated as new projects after the initial round of editing and/or proofreading.

Note: Price quotes are for the services outlined in the agreements only. Additional services requested after an agreement has been reached--such as working on-site--will be billed separately.
